The 6th Annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Concert

"A Shared Dream"
Featuring SOUNDS OF BLACKNESS

Brooklyn Center for the Performing Arts is proud to be able to once again host The Annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Concert presented by our own New York State Senator Kevin Parker of the 21st Senatorial District.  This is a FREE concert in Word and Song as a tribute to the Rev. Dr., Martin Luther King Jr.  Come and share the dream with special guest artists and community leaders. And this year with a special focus on the tragedy in Haïti.  Come and show support for our brothers and sisters in Haïti.

The sensational Grammy Award-winning gospel group Sounds of Blackness will raise its voices in an expression of hope and unity with the people of Haïti and the many in our Flatbush community who have been touched by this horrific tragedy.

Moscow On Broadway Productions Presents

Valeria
ВАЛЕРИЯ

Valeria
graduated from Saratov School of Music in piano in 1985 and came to Moscow entering the Academy of Music. Gnecinyh class pop vocal, which ended in 1990. With an amazing variety of skills, Valeria taught Russian folk artist, Joseph Kobzon and People's Artist of Russia, Helena Velikanona.

In January 1990, Valeria began recording at studios in London, Munich and Moscow.  Her album The Taiga Symphony contains a dozen songs woven into a continuous plot, based around understanding the soul of a beautiful Russian girl. The Taiga Symphony is Russia's first musical project of this magnitude.

Valerie's "Flowers" won five international awards, including Post-Montpee, as well as Anigraf and Generation '92. 

Do not miss this rare opportunity to see this charming and highly accomplished Russian superstar in her limited appearances on her American tour with this monumental appearance here in Brooklyn on the Great Stage at Brooklyn Center.
